Shaping education.
Taking a stand.
Building bridges.

I am an educational entrepreneur, advisor, and Commissioner for Jewish Life and the Prevention and Combat of Antisemitism in Hamburg. With my company Pedia, I operate twelve kindergartens across the city – including the first German-Chinese kindergarten. For nearly two decades, I have been committed to education, intercultural dialogue, and social responsibility.

About Me

My name is Stefan Hensel – educational entrepreneur, advisor, managing director, and engaged public figure.

As the owner of Pedia, I have established twelve kindergartens in Hamburg that stand for quality, diversity, and openness – including the city’s first German-Chinese kindergarten. For almost twenty years, I have worked at the intersection of education, project development, and international cooperation.

Since 2021, I have also served as the Commissioner for Jewish Life and the Prevention and Combat of Antisemitism for the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. In this role, I advocate for the protection of Jewish life, promote social inclusion, and support efforts to counter hatred and exclusion.

My work combines entrepreneurial action with civic responsibility – rooted locally, connected globally.
